About me

Hello, I’m Michelle, the owner of Shell’sK9Grooming. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and have owned Cats, Small Animals, Dogs and a Horse.  It was no surprise that my passion would eventually turn into a career.

In 2009 I welcomed my first Shetland Sheepdog into my life, and it was he who inspired me to go to college and train as a groomer. I opened my first salon in Essex in 2011 and ran it for 11 years before relocating to Suffolk. Today I share my home with five dogs: three Shelties and two Cocker Spaniels.

My own dogs keep me busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve shown them at dog shows, including Crufts, and I enjoy competing in agility, with three of my dogs reaching Grade 7. My Cocker Spaniels have taken up scent work too.

Having owned and shown Shelties, I have a particular specialism in long coated breeds and know what it takes to keep a full coat healthy and looking its best. That said, I’m happy to groom all breeds, and every dog who visits gets the same patience, care and attention that I give my own.
